Privacy Policy

Information collected
Ghana Tour Guide processes account and profile details, guide and partner applications, private identity documents, tours, bookings, messages, reviews, blocks, reports, support requests, and payment, refund, payout, device, and audit records needed to operate the marketplace.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate users, review guides and businesses, publish approved listings, fulfill bookings, process payments and payouts, provide chat and support, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate safety reports, comply with law, and improve reliability.
Service providers
Ghana Tour Guide uses owner-controlled accounts with Supabase for authentication and data services, Paystack for tour payments and guide transfers, and Cloudflare for website delivery and security. These providers process information under their own terms and may process it outside Ghana.
Identity documents
Guide identity files are private and are never shown as public profile content. Authorized administrators use them only for verification, safety, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Business listings
A submitted hotel or restaurant name, location, description, price note, and booking link become public only after owner approval. Business contact details are used for review and listing administration.
Retention
Personal information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above. Limited payment, refund, payout, tax, fraud, dispute, safety, moderation, and audit records may be retained when required by law or reasonably needed to protect users and the marketplace.
Account deletion
Account deletion requires a recent password sign-in and confirmation. Personal profile data is removed or de-identified, open bookings are canceled, held payments are flagged for refund, and payouts are blocked. Public review authors may be anonymized and limited legal records may be retained as described above.
Choices and contact
Users can update profile information, block users, report content, request support, and permanently delete their account from Account. Privacy questions and requests can be submitted through the owner-controlled Support page.
Security
Ghana Tour Guide uses access controls, row-level database policies, private storage, signed payment webhooks, and server-side secrets. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should use a unique password and report suspected account misuse promptly.
